Oenotri, a prominent fine dining Italian restaurant in downtown Napa, will close its doors permanently after a 17-year run, the establishment announced on Instagram. Its last day of service is scheduled for Saturday, November 14.

The restaurant, celebrated for its upscale Italian cuisine, house-made salumi, and extensive wine list, had become a popular destination for both locals and visitors to California's wine country.

In a farewell message posted on Instagram, Oenotri reflected on its nearly two decades of operation. "It’s hard to put 17 years into words," the post read. "What began as a restaurant became a gathering place, a second home, a family, and a part of so many people’s stories." The restaurant expressed gratitude to its customers and staff for the years of memories, stating, "To the guests who filled our tables, the team who poured their hearts into this place, and everyone who made Oenotri what it was, thank you. You gave these walls life, and you gave us 17 years we’ll never forget."

Oenotri was known for its frequently changing menu, use of locally sourced ingredients, and handmade pasta. Its wine program also complemented its location in a renowned wine region.

While the restaurant's announcement did not specify a reason for the closure, the San Francisco Chronicle reported that the owners described the closure as a "natural evolution rather than a sudden shutdown." The news of the closure prompted an outpouring of sentiment from customers on social media, with many sharing memories and expressing sadness over the loss of a fixture in Napa's dining scene.
