Emily Andre, wife of singer Peter Andre, has shared details of a recent date night that ended in disarray, revealing the couple had gone two months without a dedicated evening together.
The couple, married since 2015, recently launched their podcast, "At Home With The Andres," which offers listeners a glimpse into their family life and marriage.
During a recent episode of the podcast, Emily recounted how Peter failed to secure a reservation at their favorite restaurant, The Giggling Squid. She had asked him to book a table online, but Peter, preferring to call, was reportedly unaware that the restaurant had moved locations. Upon arrival at the original address, they found the establishment closed and empty.
"The one job I had, to book date night. I’m still trying to open the door. It’s shut and all the lights are off," Peter was quoted as saying.
After their initial confusion, they spotted a Thai restaurant across the road. As they were about to enter, they realized it was the same restaurant they had tried to book, but in a different location. Despite being half an hour late for their reservation, they were seated.
Emily noted that the restaurant staff acknowledged having had other customers get lost due to the similar name and differing locations. The couple ultimately enjoyed their meal but reflected on the mishap, with Peter joking about the need for a sign at the restaurant's previous location.
The couple aims to go on date nights every few weeks, with Peter suggesting a goal of every two weeks, though Emily admitted the summer holidays had led to a longer-than-usual gap between their outings.
