Director Michael Mann was recently seen in Los Angeles on crutches, with his left foot in an orthopedic boot and cast, just days after accidentally shooting himself at a gun range. The 83-year-old filmmaker was photographed leaving a medical building on Tuesday, appearing to have injured his leg.

Mann, an experienced target shooter, was reportedly injured on Saturday around 4 p.m. The incident occurred at The Range LA, a members-only shooting club. According to a source cited by TMZ, Mann was attempting to holster his firearm when it accidentally discharged, striking him in the leg. Police confirmed the event as an accidental discharge during a training incident.

His publicist stated that Mann sustained a superficial injury to his leg and was treated and released. Mann was seen out on Tuesday wearing a black zip-up hoodie and white pants.
