The upcoming film, "The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth," a spin-off from Quentin Tarantino's "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood," is shrouded in secrecy just weeks before its release. Little information has been made available to the public or the film industry, leading to speculation about its development status.

Despite director David Fincher and writer Tarantino's involvement, and the confirmed participation of stars including Brad Pitt, Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, Timothy Olyphant, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, the film has not been shown at any festivals or public screenings. Tarantino did present the first 17 minutes at AFI Fest, but broader industry previews have not occurred.

Sources suggest that Fincher, known for his meticulous editing process, may still be refining the movie. Official Academy screenings are scheduled for November 14 at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Los Angeles and November 20 at MoMA in New York City. These events will include Q&As with Fincher and some cast members, though Pitt is not listed to attend.

Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, known for their work with Fincher on previous projects, are composing the score for the film. The movie is set for an exclusive two-week run in IMAX theaters starting November 25, before becoming available on Netflix.

The limited theatrical window has led theater chains Regal and Cinemark to boycott the film's release. "The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth" is slated to debut on Thanksgiving Eve.
