Andrew Garfield has opened up about experiencing burnout and navigating a period of personal transition, detailing the toll of working on multiple projects back-to-back.

In a recent interview with GQ magazine, the 43-year-old actor described a challenging few years, stating, "I did these three things back to back last year, and I did have a bit of burnout, to be honest." He specifically mentioned working on "Artificial, The Uprising and Wild Things: Siegfried & Roy" consecutively, which led to sleepless nights and a difficult period.

Garfield also touched upon a broader sense of unease, describing it as a "period of transition" where he feels the culture is "falling apart" and lacking a central grounding. He noted that many of his peers are experiencing similar feelings of disintegration, which he believes is a natural part of societal change and the planting of seeds for future structures.

Amidst these reflections, Garfield also discussed his personal life, expressing a desire to start a family. "I'm 42 and I'm childless and I'm not entirely proud of that. Like, I would love I would love to have kids. I would love to start a family," he shared. He has been dating actress Monica since early 2025, with their relationship becoming public during an outing at Wimbledon the previous summer.

Garfield's upcoming projects include the historical film "The Uprising," which depicts the 1381 Peasants' Revolt in England. He recently drew attention for a remark made while promoting the film, where he stated he hoped billionaires would be "scared s***less" by it, a comment that sparked debate online.
