Comedian Joanne McNally claims the BBC blocked the release of a "tell-all" podcast episode detailing her experience on the show Celebrity Traitors, citing contractual violations. McNally, who was banished by fellow contestants before the final, had planned to discuss her time on the series in a bonus episode of her podcast, My Therapist Ghosted Me, with co-host Vogue Williams.
According to podcast producer Joe Attewell, the BBC stated that the content discussed in the planned episode would violate the non-disclosure agreements signed by all contestants. Attewell noted that the show received "eight to nine thousand messages" from listeners inquiring about the missing episode. Williams added that while the episode was recorded and contained "juicy" details, they were informed they could not "say whatever we want."
The finale of Celebrity Traitors aired on Friday, drawing a record 11.2 million viewers and peaking at 11.6 million, making it the most-watched broadcast of 2026 in the UK so far. Despite mixed reviews of the final episode, the conclusion saw comedians Romesh Rangan and actor Sebastian Croft crowned champions, splitting the £83,000 prize pot. They each received £41,500 for their chosen charities.
The contestants successfully identified Traitors Maya Jama and King Kenny, after Traitor James Acaster revealed his identity in a previous episode. Rangan expressed his happiness at forming a friendship with Croft, calling it a highlight of his experience. Croft, visibly emotional, described the win as potentially the best day of his life, cherishing the moment Rangan confirmed his status as a Faithful.
