Sir Anthony Hopkins, 88, was recently photographed on the set of his upcoming movie, "A Visit to Grandpa's," in Pasadena, California, where he was involved in reshoots for the project. The legendary actor, known for his distinguished career, appeared in good spirits and demonstrated his continued vigor on set.

The film, based on a 1938 short story by Dylan Thomas, sees Hopkins portraying an eccentric, storytelling grandfather to a young boy. Director D.J. Caruso, who previously collaborated with Hopkins on "Mary," described the story as "powerful and profoundly beautiful," noting it allows Hopkins to return to his Welsh roots.

"A Visit to Grandpa's" also features Welsh actress Catherine Zeta-Jones, who previously starred opposite Hopkins in "The Mask of Zorro" in 1998. Zeta-Jones has spoken about the fulfilling experience of filming in her native Wales for the project.

Hopkins' involvement in "A Visit to Grandpa's" is part of an extensive slate of upcoming projects. According to IMDB, he has eight films in development, including roles as Charles Darwin in "The Species" and an appearance in "Maserati: The Brothers" alongside Andy Garcia, Jessica Alba, and Al Pacino. The release date for "A Visit to Grandpa's" has not yet been announced.
