Victoria Zardoya, the best friend of Milania Giudice, had ketamine in her system at the time of her death in July, according to an autopsy report obtained by TMZ. Zardoya, 20, also had alcohol and etomidate, a medication used for anesthesia, in her blood.
The cause of Zardoya's death was ruled accidental, attributed to craniocerebral trauma resulting from a fall. On July 24, she fell down a multi-level flight of stairs while exploring the Fort Dade ruins on Egmont Key near Tampa Bay, Florida. She was airlifted to a hospital in critical condition and died three days later from her injuries.
Zardoya was a neighbor and close family friend to Milania Giudice, daughter of "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice. Milania's father, Joe Giudice, told Page Six in September that Zardoya's death had "affected" his daughter "tremendously." He noted that she was trying to process the loss while also dealing with the pressures of growing up in the public eye.
In October, Milania Giudice revealed she had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and ADHD, and had entered a rehabilitation center. She stated she was not ashamed of her diagnoses.
