Jennifer Lopez recently captivated fans by transforming into the iconic sex symbol Barbarella for Halloween. The 57-year-old entertainer donned a revealing white swimsuit and a metallic chainmail-like ensemble, complete with a caramel wig, to embody the intergalactic warrior.

Lopez's costume was a direct homage to Jane Fonda, who originated the role in the 1968 film. The star further paid tribute by recreating Fonda's famous naked scene from the movie, posing suggestively with a male model. The original Barbarella film propelled Fonda to sex symbol status.

While the film's star Fonda later expressed regret over turning down other roles for Barbarella, the campy sci-fi movie has been subject to remake talks for years. A sequel was even planned with Drew Barrymore in the title role.

This Halloween display coincided with Lopez discussing her album "Love?" and its deluxe edition. She reflected on a period of personal questioning about love, referencing her split from Ben Affleck two years prior. The deluxe edition includes the new dance track "Proof of Love," which she described as finding love within oneself.

Lopez's 2011 album "Love?" originally featured her hit song "On the Floor" with Pitbull. The track has seen a resurgence in popularity, partly due to a scene in the Amazon Prime series "Off Campus" where a character dresses as Lopez and dances to the song. Lopez noted how music can find new audiences, making older tracks feel fresh.

The singer has also recently partnered with fintech company Bilt for its November promotion and is the face of Dolce & Gabbana, signing a $20 million deal. Her association with the luxury brand includes attending a Milan Fashion Week event hosted by the designers.

Lopez and Affleck, who rekindled their romance in 2021, filed for divorce in August 2024, marking the end of their second attempt at a relationship. They were initially together from 2002 to 2004. Lopez has been attempting to sell their former marital home in Los Angeles for millions since June 2024.
