Katy Rickitt, a host on Good Morning Britain, has participated in a nude photoshoot for a calendar to raise awareness for mental health. The 42-year-old posed with a group of women for the calendar, which benefits the charity Stable Minds.
Stable Minds aims to provide a space for women to receive help, advice, therapy, and support. In the published photos, Rickitt is seen covering her chest with disco balls and wearing only red boots. She explained that the calendar project has been in the works for three years. Rickitt mentioned that in 2023, she organized a similar event for men's cancer awareness, but the subsequent women's calendar was delayed due to a personal mental health challenge she experienced. She described this period as a "blip" where she felt lost, unsure of her identity, experienced weight gain, panic attacks, and feelings of low mood. Rickitt speculated that this might be linked to menopause or what she now calls "The Midlife Epiphany," and it took time to rediscover herself.
Away from her broadcasting career, Rickitt and her husband, Coronation Street actor Adam Rickitt, co-own and operate a craft beer and artisan gin bar called Dexter and Jones in Knutsford. The establishment offers a wide selection of craft beers, draft beers, gins, and wines. Adam Rickitt recently shared that he took a personal allowance of approximately £12,000 from the business last year, with an additional £36,000 in dividends to remain within the basic tax band, noting that the couple is reinvesting significantly in the business. This contrasts with his previous earnings from Coronation Street, where he reportedly earned £3,500 per week for four episodes.
Rickitt's calendars will be available for purchase starting Saturday, November 7, both in-store at Dexter and Jones and online. The women involved in the calendar hope to support the struggling mental health charity and create a dedicated space for women seeking assistance.
