A zoo in Dortmund, Germany, is currently home to twelve lion cubs who are enjoying their time in the sun. The cubs were born to two sister lionesses, Zuri and Saba.

Zuri gave birth to five cubs on July 28, and Saba followed three days later with seven cubs on July 31. The lionesses are now jointly caring for all twelve cubs, nursing and feeding them without distinction between their own offspring.

The zoo's lion enclosure has reopened to the public, with visitors delighting in the sight of the young lions exploring their surroundings under the watchful eyes of their mothers.

The cubs, pictured on Tuesday, have become one big family, with both lionesses feeding and caring for each other's offspring
