Claire Chadwick, 40, who was 37 weeks pregnant, died on October 29 after developing sepsis and succumbing to septic shock. Her unborn baby girl also died in the womb.

Chadwick had moved to Nigeria to start a new life with her husband, Ibrahim. The couple frequently shared videos of their daily life, including popular food challenges, on platforms like TikTok and Instagram, amassing thousands of followers. The last known images of Chadwick, posted a week before her death, show her smiling at the camera from their home in Nigeria.

In previous posts, Ibrahim described Chadwick as "just the best" and "my best friend and partner in everything." The couple's social media often featured captions about their togetherness and love.

Chadwick, who previously lived in Cardiff, Wales, and had a 19-year-old son, married Ibrahim in December. Her sister Shannon told WalesOnline that Chadwick was "fiercely strong-minded" and lived her life "in her own way."

Following her death, Chadwick's family has launched a GoFundMe to raise funds to fly her and her baby back to the UK for burial. "More than anything, we want them both returned so they can be laid to rest with dignity, surrounded by the family who love them," Shannon said.

Ibrahim expressed his heartbreak over the loss of his wife and unborn child, thanking Chadwick's family for their support and for organizing the fundraiser. Tributes on the GoFundMe page have described Chadwick as "lovely" and "kind."
