A brutal stabbing at a Halloween party left five teenage boys seriously injured, with one still in critical condition. The incident occurred Saturday night when an estimated 70 uninvited guests arrived at a house in Chandler's Ford, Eastleigh, after details of the party were shared on social media.
Two teenagers, a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old, both from Southampton, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remain in police custody. Police confirmed that five boys, all aged 16 or 17, were stabbed during a fight that broke out at the party.
Two of the victims remain hospitalized, one with life-threatening injuries. The others sustained serious injuries, including stab wounds to the shoulder, torso, and arm, according to witness accounts. One witness described hearing screams and a male voice say, "it's a knife attack." Emergency services, including an air ambulance, responded rapidly, with paramedics working on one victim on the pavement before he was taken to the hospital.
The party was reportedly attended by around 100 youngsters, far exceeding the host's expectations. Some attendees are believed to have come from another Halloween party nearby that had been shut down earlier in the evening. The uninvited guests reportedly scaled a fence to gain access to the property.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary are investigating the incident, appealing for witnesses and anyone with CCTV or mobile phone footage covering the area to come forward. Detective Chief Inspector Elizabeth Pirie urged the community to share any information, emphasizing that even seemingly small details could be significant. Local MP Liz Jarvis expressed her thoughts for the victims and thanked emergency services for their swift response.
The victims are believed to be pupils from Thornden School in Chandler's Ford, who had completed their GCSE exams and moved on to further education.
