Democrats are currently appearing to win the majority of recent redistricting battles, with Republican efforts to redraw congressional maps to favor the GOP showing mixed results, according to an analysis by ABC News. While Republicans redrew 15 congressional seats over the past two years, they are projected to lose two-thirds of them.

Conversely, California's Proposition 50, a ballot initiative that redrew five districts to make them more favorable to Democrats, appears to be benefiting the party.

In districts redrawn by Republicans, Democrats have held onto several seats. Democratic Rep. Shomari Figures is projected to retain his seat in Alabama's Second District. In Florida, Democratic Rep. Kathy Castor is expected to keep her seat in the Ninth District, and Pia Dandiya is projected to win the Twenty-Second District, while Rep. Jared Moskowitz is projected to win in the Twenty-Fifth District. Democratic Rep. Greg Landsman is projected to win Ohio's First District, and Rep. Marcy Kaptur is projected to win the Ninth District. Texas's Ninth District is projected for a Democratic win by Leticia Gutierrez in an open seat, and Rep. Henry Cuellar is projected to win Texas's Twenty-Eighth District. Rep. Vincente Gonzalez is projected to win Texas's Thirty-Fourth District, and Jonny Garcia is projected to win Texas's Thirty-Fifth District.

However, Republicans have flipped two seats that were subject to Republican-drawn maps. In Tennessee's Ninth District, Democratic state Rep. Justin Pearson conceded to Brent Taylor. Jace Yarbrough is projected to win Texas's Thirty-Second District, an open seat vacated by Democratic Rep. Julie Johnson.

On the other hand, Democrats have flipped several seats as a result of their redistricting efforts. In California, Mike McGuire unseated GOP Rep. James Gallagher in the First District. Rep. Ami Bera won the Third District, previously held by Republican-aligned independent Kevin Kiley, who is projected to lose in the newly drawn Sixth District. Randy Villegas is projected to unseat Rep. David Valadao in California's Sixth District. Linda Sánchez is projected to win the Forty-First District, a seat formerly held by Republican Ken Calvert, who ran in a different district. In the Forty-Eighth District, Democrat Marni von Wilpert is projected to flip the seat held by retiring Republican incumbent Darrell Issa. Former Rep. Ben McAdams is projected to win Utah's First District, a redrawn seat that favored Democrats, leading to shuffling and retirements among Utah incumbents.
