CNN’s Kaitlan Collins confronted former President Donald Trump’s attempt to blame voters for election outcomes, presenting evidence that contradicted his claims. Collins pointed out on "The Source" that Trump personally endorsed several Republican candidates who subsequently lost their races.

During a segment, Collins showed a montage of Trump enthusiastically backing candidates who failed to win their Senate contests, including Mike Collins in Georgia, Michael Whatley in North Carolina, Ken Paxton in Texas, Darline Graham in South Carolina, and Mike Rogers in Michigan. These candidates were defeated by Democrats Jon Ossoff, Roy Cooper, James Talarico, Annie Andrews, and Abdul El-Sayed, respectively.

Collins contrasted Trump’s post-election assertion on Truth Social that a landslide victory would have occurred if he had been on the ballot with his pre-election statements. She played a second montage featuring Trump repeatedly urging his supporters in the days leading up to the election to "pretend I'm on the ballot."
