Newly released body camera footage depicts the chaotic moments Hillsborough County deputies responded to a deadly shooting at a Citibank campus in Tampa, Florida. The video captures deputies rushing into the Sabal Center following the incident, where a woman was killed and the gunman was fatally shot by an armed security guard.

The footage shows deputies arriving at the scene, with one deputy heard asking bystanders for a description of the suspect. Authorities stated the suspect drove through a fence, crashed into an outdoor seating area, and then fatally shot a woman before entering the building's cafeteria.

"Shooter is down," an officer is heard announcing in the video, after which deputies are seen escorting people out of the building. The accompanying 911 audio recordings capture a caller reporting gunfire as authorities coordinated their response and planned their entry into the building.

According to the sheriff's office, dispatchers began receiving calls about shots fired at 12:11 p.m., and deputies arrived on scene within one minute. The sheriff's office credited an armed Citibank security guard with shooting the suspect during an exchange of gunfire. The gunman was pronounced dead at Tampa General Hospital.

More than 3,200 people were on campus when the shooting occurred, and over 400 law enforcement personnel, including 367 sheriff's deputies, responded to the incident. Sheriff Chad Chronister stated, "Thanks to the brave actions by the security team on-site and more than 365 deputies, this unhinged suspect was stopped before he could harm anyone else."
