The UCLA women's basketball team is taking promotional nights to a new level by hosting a "Leather Pants Night" for their upcoming game against UC Irvine on Thursday. The team announced the event on social media, sharing a graphic of head coach Cori Close celebrating their National Championship win while wearing leather pants.

The team's social media post encouraged fans to "come dressed in your best leather" for the game against UC Irvine. The promotion is likely inspired by Close's frequent use of leather pants as part of her coaching attire. Fans who wear leather to the game will reportedly receive two free tickets to a future women's basketball game, with tickets starting at $14.

This promotion follows UCLA's season-opening victory over Lehigh on Tuesday, where they won 73-53. Sophomore guard Sienna Betts and senior guard Donovyn Hunter were key contributors in that game, combining for 29 points and 10 rebounds. UC Irvine will be playing their first game of the season against UCLA.

The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 p.m. PT.
