Shelley Duncan, who managed the New York Yankees' Triple-A affiliate for the past four seasons, is reportedly moving to their rivals, the Boston Red Sox, to join their major league staff. He will work under manager Chad Tracy.
Duncan, 47, has a long history with the Yankees organization, having been a second-round draft pick in 2001 and playing his first three major league seasons with them. He also played seven seasons in MLB.
Before managing the Yankees' Scranton/Wilkes-Barre team, Duncan held coaching or managing roles within the Diamondbacks, Blue Jays, and White Sox organizations. In 2025, he was recognized as the International Manager of the Year.
Duncan's move to the Red Sox was first reported by MassLive.
