Omos earned his reinstatement to the AAA roster by defeating WWE legend Rey Mysterio at Triplemania 34 Night 1 in Las Vegas. The imposing Omos, who stands nearly two feet taller than Mysterio, secured the win via a chokeslam pinfall.
Despite Mysterio mounting a late surge with multiple 619s, a West Coast Pop, and a top-rope splash, Omos ultimately overpowered him. Following the official victory, Omos continued his assault on Mysterio. As officials prepared to place Mysterio on a stretcher, Omos picked up the strapped-in luchador and slammed him through the announcer's table, drawing boos from the crowd at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
Mysterio's son, Dominik Mysterio, is scheduled to defend the AAA Mega Championship against El Grande Americano on Night 2 of Triplemania 34, which will take place in Mexico City. The event is set to begin at 10 p.m. ET and will be available on YouTube.
