Mustafa Ali successfully defended his TNA International Championship at Slammiversary in a triple-threat match that also featured Rich Swann and the TNA debut of Uhaa Nation.

Ali entered the event unsure of who would answer his open challenge. TNA’s director of operations, Daria Rae, was set to announce the challenger during the pre-show. However, TNA director of authority Santino Marella interrupted, revealing that the challenge would become a triple-threat match, with both Swann and Nation as opponents.

Nation, formerly known in WWE as Apollo Crews, made his first appearance for TNA. During his tenure with WWE, Nation held both the Intercontinental Championship and the U.S. Championship.

Upon entering the ring, Nation immediately targeted Swann, clearing him from the ring before engaging with Ali. The match saw Ali facing the combined offense of both Swann and Nation.

Ali received assistance from Order 4 members Tasha Steelz and Special Agent Zero. The duo created a distraction, interfering with Nation as he appeared poised to finish off Swann. Special Agent Zero then eliminated Nation from the equation, allowing Ali to regain the advantage. Ali capitalized on the one-on-one situation, pinning Swann with a backslide and bridge to secure the victory and retain his championship.

This marks Ali's first reign as the TNA International Champion, a title he won from Trey Miguel in April. Since joining TNA in 2024, Ali also held the X Division Championship and was named the X Division Star of the Year in his inaugural year with the company. He has since formed an alliance with Order 4.
