Manchester City and Bournemouth will kick off the 2026-27 Premier League season against each other on August 23, with both clubs entering the match under new head coaches.

Manchester City begins its season with Enzo Maresca at the helm, following the departure of Pep Guardiola. Guardiola concluded his 10-year tenure with the club after securing six Premier League titles, three FA Cup titles, and one Champions League win. Under Maresca, City experienced a 0-3 defeat to Arsenal in the FA Community Shield last weekend. The match is scheduled to start at 9 a.m. ET at the Etihad Stadium.

AFC Bournemouth also has a new manager in Marco Rose. Rose takes over after Andoni Iraola led the club to its first-ever UEFA Europa League berth last season before departing to fill Liverpool's coaching vacancy.

Fans in the United States can watch the match on the USA Network. For those without cable, a live TV streaming service trial is recommended for free viewing. DIRECTV offers a five-day free trial, potentially saving $30 on the first month with its Choice plan, which includes USA Network. An alternative is DIRECTV's MySports Genre Pack, also featuring USA Network, priced at $49.99 per month after a five-day trial.

The opening weekend schedule includes other matchups, with Brighton vs. Aston Villa and Newcastle United vs. Liverpool also slated for August 23, and Fulham vs. Chelsea on August 24.
