The New York Knicks' NBA championship trophy is now on display at the American Museum of Natural History (AMNH) in Manhattan, offering fans an opportunity to celebrate the team's recent victory. The Larry O'Brien Trophy, a 29-pound artifact crafted by Tiffany & Co., is featured as part of the museum's "For the Win: Objects of Sports Excellence" exhibit.

The trophy, made of sterling silver and gold vermeil, will be available for viewing on the museum's ground floor through January 3. This exhibit provides a chance for fans to connect with the team's championship win, which marked a significant moment after more than a half-century wait.

The "For the Win" exhibit also includes other significant items from the world of sports. Among the 70 displayed pieces are the New York Liberty's 2024 WNBA championship trophy, a Babe Ruth Crown honoring Yogi Berra, and a diamond-studded Super Bowl ring belonging to Giants legend Justin Tuck. Additionally, the exhibit features one of track star Jesse Owens' 1936 Olympic gold medals, the NFL's Vince Lombardi Trophy, and boxer Claressa Shields' championship belt.

According to exhibit curator Vikki Tobak, the objects in the exhibition represent "a celebration of the culture of winning—tangible reminders of the great athletes and champions who made greatness something the rest of us could see."

Admission to the "For the Win" exhibit is included with general museum admission, allowing visitors to experience both the sports memorabilia and the museum's other collections, including dinosaur skeletons and whale models.
