The New York Jets and New York Giants will face off in their annual preseason matchup on Friday, Aug. 28, at 7:30 p.m. EST. The game will be held at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Fans can watch the game for free through a five-day trial of DIRECTV streaming. The Choice plan includes over 125 channels, such as the NFL Network and local CBS affiliate, which will broadcast the game in the New York market.

Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart is expected to play, despite a recent injury scare during the team's August 15 preseason opener against the Minnesota Vikings. The Jets, meanwhile, will start one of their backup quarterbacks, with Geno Smith sidelined. Coach Aaron Glenn has not yet named a starter between Cade Klubnik, Bailey Zappe, and Brady Cook.

Offensive coordinator Frank Reich expressed confidence in the team's depth, noting that the backup quarterbacks have performed well. "Cade has done well. He’s done well, and it’s a really good dynamic in that room," Reich said.

Both teams enter the game coming off wins. The Jets defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 17-0 on Aug. 21, while the Giants secured a 26-3 victory against the Miami Dolphins on Aug. 22.
