The 2026 US Open tennis tournament is set to begin on Aug. 30 and will conclude on Sept. 13 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens, New York. This marks the final major championship of the tennis season.

In the men's draw, defending champion Carlos Alcaraz returns after missing the French Open and Wimbledon due to a wrist injury. However, current World No. 1 Jannik Sinner will not compete due to a knee injury. Alexander Zverev, winner of the French Open, enters as the No. 1 seed.

The women's draw features top seed Aryna Sabalenka, the defending champion. The World No. 1 ranking is potentially on the line, with Sabalenka needing to win and Elena Rybakina to be eliminated before the semifinals to secure her top ranking. Rybakina could become World No. 1 if she reaches the semifinals.
