The FedEx Cup Playoffs begin this week with the FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee. This marks the first of three tournaments in the PGA Tour's postseason, with only the top 50 players in the FedEx Cup standings advancing to the BMW Championship.

The St. Jude Championship is often characterized by its unpredictability, a trend highlighted by recent winners like Lucas Glover at 90/1 in 2023, Abraham Ancer at 50/1 in 2021, and Justin Rose at 100/1 in 2025. Despite these surprises, more established golfers such as Brooks Koepka, Justin Thomas, Hideki Matsuyama, and Will Zalatoris have also claimed victory in recent years.

Scottie Scheffler is the current favorite for the 2026 tournament with odds of +480. Rory McIlroy follows as the second favorite at 15/1. Beyond McIlroy, ten golfers are listed between 20/1 and 30/1.

Top Selections

Matt Fitzpatrick is highlighted as a strong contender at 27/1. Despite a missed cut at the recent Open Championship, his 2026 season shows consistent success with three PGA Tour wins, seven top-5 finishes, and 13 finishes of 25th or better in 18 starts. Before the Open, he achieved a T3 at the Scottish Open and a runner-up finish at the Canadian Open. Fitzpatrick also has a favorable history at TPC Southwind, with three top-10 finishes in seven appearances.

Tom Kim is identified as a sleeper pick at 52/1. His performance has improved throughout the 2026 season, including a win at the Scottish Open and three top-5 finishes in his last six starts, most recently at the Wyndham Championship. His current form has not yet significantly shifted his odds.

Sungjae Im is another longshot selection at 95/1. While his 2026 campaign has been challenging, he has recently posted three top-15 finishes in his last four events, including a T14 at the Wyndham Championship. Im also has a solid course history at TPC Southwind, with a sixth-place finish in 2023 and three top-20 finishes in his last three visits.

The FedEx St. Jude Championship field consists of 70 players, with the pressure mounting to secure a spot in the subsequent playoff events.
