During the Atlanta Dream's 124-88 road win against the Los Angeles Sparks on Thursday, an unusual incident disrupted play when a sex toy was thrown onto the court. Atlanta star Angel Reese was seen reacting to the event, identifying what appeared to be the person responsible for tossing the item.
As Sparks forward Jihyun Park prepared to shoot free throws late in the third quarter, a neon green sex toy landed on the court near the Los Angeles bench. Reese, who was at the scorer's table at the time, gestured and called out, "Right there! Get him!" towards the stands. Video footage suggests Reese may have also made a comment about the size of the object.
Sparks center Cameron Brink was observed kicking the item away before a security guard removed it from the playing surface. The Dream's franchise-record point total in the blowout victory was also noted.
Reese had a significant performance in the game, scoring 20 points on perfect 9-of-9 shooting from the field and 2-of-2 from three-point range, marking her 25th double-double of the season. She also recorded 10 rebounds, eight assists, and three steals. According to The Associated Press, Reese is one of three players in WNBA history to achieve a 20-point double-double with perfect shooting efficiency.
This is not the first time a sex toy has been thrown onto a WNBA court. Similar incidents occurred during games between the Dream and the Golden State Valkyries on July 29, 2025, and between the Valkyries and the Chicago Sky on August 1, 2025.
