Zendaya embodied a Greek goddess at the Paris premiere of Christopher Nolan's new film, "The Odyssey," on Wednesday. The 29-year-old actress, who portrays Athena in the epic, embraced her role through her attire, wearing a white lace gown with cut-outs and a ruffled cape.

She complemented her look with a halo braid and Greek-inspired stone jewelry. Zendaya's character serves as the divine protector and guide for Odysseus, played by Matt Damon. The film is scheduled for release on July 17.

Charlize Theron, 50, also made a striking appearance in a semi-sheer black and white lace dress. She engaged with fans on the sidelines, signing autographs.

Damon, 55, stars as the titular hero Odysseus, and Hathaway plays his queen, Penelope, who fends off suitors during Odysseus's long absence. The film is an adaptation of Homer's ancient Greek epic.

"The Odyssey" boasts a $250 million budget, marking Nolan's most expensive project to date and the first to be shot entirely on IMAX 70mm cameras. Despite the high production value and star-studded cast, the film has faced controversy regarding its casting choices.

Elon Musk previously criticized the casting of Kenyan actress Lupita Nyong'o as Clytemnestra, calling it "historically inaccurate." Director Christopher Nolan defended his decisions, suggesting that the portrayals reflect how the characters were originally perceived by audiences in Homer's time. "The oldest depictions of Homeric characters tend to be depicted in the manner of people living in Homer's time," Nolan stated. "So there's a pretty strong case there for portraying things that way because that's the way the first audience received the story."

Musk's remarks drew criticism from "The View" host Sunny Hostin, who called him a "white supremacist" and a "racist." Actor Alec Baldwin also publicly supported Nyong'o and Nolan, posting on Instagram, "Dear Elon… but she IS the most beautiful woman in the world…Alec."
