Zendaya and Tom Holland are reportedly taking a year off from their careers to focus on married life and reside in their South West London home. The couple, who recently celebrated their union for a second time in a three-day wedding event, are aiming for a more private life after a period of intense professional activity.
Holland, who has amassed an estimated fortune of $65 million alongside Zendaya, has expressed intentions to retire from acting once the couple decides to have children. He stated in a 2025 interview with Men's Health that his priorities would then shift to "golfing and parenting," suggesting he would "disappear off the face of the earth" from the film industry.
Zendaya has also voiced concerns about the impact of fame on potential children. She told British Vogue in 2024 that she hoped for a life where she could "make things and pop out when I need to pop out, and then have a safe and protected life with my family." She described an ongoing anxiety about public perception shifting if she were not constantly delivering content.
The couple met on the set of "Spider-Man: Homecoming" in 2016. Holland confirmed their marital status earlier this year during a press tour when he referred to Zendaya as his "my wife." They reportedly had a second wedding ceremony at the five-star Beaverbrook Hotel in Surrey, with guests including Timothée Chalamet, Kylie Jenner, and Robert Downey Jr. The ceremony was followed by a reception featuring champagne, croquet, and a pool party, with a red and blue light display as a nod to Holland's Marvel character.
Zendaya's career has seen significant success, with her projects reportedly generating nearly $2 billion worldwide. She topped Forbes' global box office rankings this year, with "Dune: Part Three" set for release later in the year. Holland's earnings from "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" are estimated to be between $20-25 million, a considerable increase from his initial $250,000 for his first Spider-Man role in 2016.
The couple resides in a £3.5 million home in Richmond, London, which Holland purchased in 2018 and underwent extensive renovations before Zendaya moved in in 2023. Zendaya also owns properties in Southern California, the Hollywood Hills, and Brooklyn, New York.
