Jacqueline Skelton, 27, from Championsgate, Florida, described her son Bowen Everett Skelton’s birth on December 22, 2025, as an emotional and healing experience. Skelton, who identifies as a "Disney adult" and visits the Orlando theme park multiple times a week, gave birth at a hospital in Celebration, Florida, a community designed by the Walt Disney Company. Coincidentally, the hospital is where her husband works, and its windows offered a view of Magic Kingdom's nightly fireworks show.

Skelton stated she had no prior knowledge that she would be able to see the fireworks from her hospital room. "The hospital I gave birth in is actually where my husband works," she told the Daily Mail. She emphasized that the hospital is a working medical facility and not a destination for viewing fireworks, suggesting that visiting the parks directly would be a more cost-effective and likely less painful alternative.

During labor, as the fireworks began, Skelton found the display to be a source of peace. "The second I saw the fireworks, I instantly felt at peace. It was a very healing experience for me," she said. She added that watching the show between contractions was helpful, describing it as a reassuring moment despite the challenges of labor. The hospital I gave birth in is actually where my husband works,' she explained during a chat with the Daily Mail, adding that she had no idea before hand that she'd be able to see the fireworks from her hospital room

Skelton shared that Disney holds significant meaning for her and her family, evoking cherished childhood memories and offering a way to connect with her own children. "Some of my earliest memories are of Disney trips as a kid. The joy and magic feeling it brought me was something I will never forget," she explained. She defines herself as a "Disney Adult" not solely for merchandise or events, but for the connections it fosters within her family. "I’m a big believer that we should take any and all opportunities to connect with our children and family," she added.

She recently gained viral attention after posting a video of the fireworks viewed from her hospital bed to Instagram. The video's text overlay read, "I'll never forget that my view between contractions was the Magic Kingdom fireworks because I gave birth at the 'Disney' hospital." In the caption, she wrote, "A little Disney magic before meeting my greatest adventure."

In the middle of labor when the fireworks started going off, Skelton described the moment as 'emotional'

Viewers reacted positively to Skelton's birth story, with many commenting on the magical nature of the experience. Online reactions included sentiments such as, "That’s the most magical way to bring a new life into the world," and "Oh my goodness what a beautiful way to give birth… Truly, magical experience."
