Poldark actor Tom York has married his model girlfriend Kara Milner. The ceremony was attended by several of his co-stars from the popular BBC series.
Beatie Edney, who played Prudie Paynter in Poldark, shared news of the wedding on Instagram, posting a video from the reception. The guest list included Eleanor Tomlinson, who portrayed Demelza Carne, and Freddie Wise, who played Geoffrey Charles. Turlough Convery, known for his role as Tom Harry, and the show's screenwriter and executive producer Debbie Horsfield were also present.
"Tom York got married to his love Kara," Edney captioned her post. "Several of our Poldark family were there to celebrate including @eleanortomlinson and our fabulous writer #debbiehorsfield as well as #freddiewise and #turloughconvery." She added that the event was "a beautiful and amazing wedding, full of joy, love, laughter and friendship."
York, 33, is best known for his role as Sam Carne in Poldark. He announced his engagement to Milner in May 2024, sharing photos of his fiancée and her engagement ring. "Thank you @karamilner for making me the luckiest man," he wrote at the time.
Tomlin, 34, played the wife of the series' protagonist, Ross Poldark, portrayed by Aidan Turner. The drama, based on Winston Graham's novels, aired for five seasons between 2015 and 2019, chronicling the lives and relationships of the Poldark family in Cornwall.
While the series concluded in 2019, there has been speculation about potential future installments. Aidan Turner, who played Ross Poldark, has suggested that a reboot could focus on the next generation of Poldarks, although he indicated a leading role for himself would be unlikely due to his character's age in the novel series.
