Tom Felton, known for his portrayal of Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter film series, has voiced his excitement about Rupert Grint's upcoming Broadway debut as Ron Weasley. Felton, who recently reprised his role on the theatre stage himself, called Grint immediately upon hearing the news.
"Who doesn't want to see Rupert Grint play Ron Weasley again? Come on!" Felton exclaimed. He indicated that Grint is well-equipped for the role, having already appeared on Broadway. "I don't think he needs any advice from me. If anything, I would be taking it from him," Felton said, noting Grint's apparent "Ron Weasley laissez-faire approach to these things."

More than two decades after meeting on the set of the first Harry Potter film, Felton described the enduring friendships among the original young cast members, including Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson, referring to them as "best mates" and "family." However, he acknowledged the difficulty in gathering the group, as they are often in different parts of the world. Felton stated that his castmates have been "fantastic" in their support since his own return to the stage.
