Prime Video will release Season 3, Episode 11 of The Summer I Turned Pretty at 12:00 a.m. Pacific Time (3:00 a.m. Eastern) on Wednesday, Sept. 17, the streaming service confirmed. The episode will serve as the season — and currently announced series — finale.
Season 3 comprises 11 episodes, up from seven in Season 1 and eight in Season 2. Episode 10, titled “Last Year,” ended with protagonist Belly (Lola Tung) living in Paris and the Fisher brothers, Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno), confronting unresolved tensions following a wedding, leaving viewers with a cliffhanger that will be resolved in the final episode.
The series is a Prime Video original, so new episodes are available only to subscribers. Prime membership options include a 30-day free trial for new users; after a trial, Amazon Prime is priced at $14.99 per month or $139 per year. Young adults aged 18 to 24 may be eligible for a discounted plan following a six-month free trial, paying $7.49 per month for up to six years with age verification.
The third season adapts Jenny Han’s We’ll Always Have Summer, the third book in her trilogy, and Han has indicated that the three-book structure informed the show’s arc. Ahead of the season premiere, Han told Entertainment Weekly that three books leading to three seasons “feels right to me,” and there are currently no announced plans for a fourth season. That leaves the Sept. 17 episode as the expected endpoint for the television adaptation as released so far.
Fans hoping for more Cousins Beach stories may still see extensions in other forms: Han previously developed XO, Kitty as a spin-off of her To All the Boys property, and questions about a TSITP spin-off have been raised publicly. As of now, Prime Video has not confirmed any spin-off series tied to The Summer I Turned Pretty.
Viewers who have not read Han’s novels should note that the television series has made changes from the source material in past seasons, and Han has said alterations are possible. Those seeking to know how the books conclude can consult the third novel for its ending, but the show’s producers and Han have left open the possibility that the televised ending may differ.
Episode release times for Season 3 have followed a Wednesday schedule, with new episodes available at midnight Pacific. With the final episode scheduled for Sept. 17, subscribers will be able to stream the conclusion immediately at that time on Prime Video.
