Teri Hatcher, 61, has stated she has not been on a date in seven years, a situation she described as being "so single" among her predominantly married friends. The actress, known for her role as Susan Mayer in "Desperate Housewives," shared this in a recent interview with HELLO! magazine.

Hatcher last had a six-month relationship with a British man while she was working in London. Her previous marriages were to Marcus Leithold from 1988 to 1989 and Jon Tenney from 1994 to 2003. She has a 28-year-old daughter, Emerson, with Tenney.

"I go through life with an open heart and I would never say never, but I don't date. I don't go on dates, I don't look to go on dates," Hatcher said. "I haven't been on a date in... I don't think I'm exaggerating if I say seven years. I have such a giant community of beautiful friends and most of my girlfriends who are my age I've known for at least 30 years, and they're mostly married."

She expressed a hope for connection at events, adding, "There really isn't a new source of people. Sometimes if I go to a charity event, I'll think, 'Oh, maybe I'll meet a like-minded person that cares about curing cancer,' but I don't."

Hatcher's career began with a stint as a San Francisco 49ers cheerleader in 1984, followed by early television roles, including a guest appearance on "Seinfeld" in 1993. She gained wider recognition as Lois Lane in "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman" from 1993 to 1997. Her role as Susan Mayer in "Desperate Housewives" from 2004 to 2012 earned her significant acclaim.

Teri was married to Marcus Leithold from 1988 to 1989, and later wed Jon Tenney from 1994 to 2003, who she shares daughter Emerson (pictured), 28, with

Her upcoming role will be as fashion executive Miranda Priestly in a West End production of "The Devil Wears Prada."
