Sascha Hartmann, father of pop star Tallia Storm and husband of television personality Tessa Hartmann, has died suddenly in Lugano, Switzerland. He was 57 years old.
Tallia Storm, 27, announced her father's death on Instagram, describing the family's devastation. "Our world has shattered and will never be the same," she wrote. "My amazing dad. You were my world & you will continue to be forever. I am in shock, please pray for my family."
Storm, a singer-songwriter, credited her father with inspiring her music career, calling him "the greatest musician, the greatest artist I have ever known."
Tessa Hartmann revealed her husband's passing on her social media, sharing that they had moved to Lugano in December and were planning to celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary in August. "Yesterday, my darling husband, Sascha, the devoted father of our incredible children, Valentina, Tallia, Johnnie and Zachary - passed away suddenly in Lugano, Switzerland," she stated.
Hartmann described her husband as "one of a kind. A true gentleman." She highlighted his talents as an artist, composer, and pianist, and emphasized his devotion as a father to their four children. "He adored our children and was endlessly proud of every one of them," she wrote.
The family has been overwhelmed by messages of support from friends and colleagues. Actress Gabby Logan shared her condolences, calling Sascha Hartmann a "superb, funny, clever, supportive and talented man" who was taken too soon.
Funeral details for Sascha Hartmann, who was an actor, artist, and cinematographer, are expected to be announced shortly, with the service scheduled to take place in Lugano on Wednesday, July 1st.
