South Park will not air a new episode tonight, the show’s creators announced on Twitter. Trey Parker and Matt Stone said the delay was due to finishing touches that were not completed in time, and they apologized on behalf of Comedy Central and fans who were ready for the episode. In the same post, the network confirmed that a new Beavis and Butt-Head episode, “Nuts & Bike,” will instead air at 10:30 p.m. ET on Comedy Central.
Season 27 of South Park comprises ten episodes, continuing the series’ long run on Comedy Central. The fifth episode of the season, originally scheduled for tonight, has been pushed to next week after the creators' message. The next new episode is now planned for Wednesday, September 24 at 10:00 p.m. ET on Comedy Central, with Paramount+ releasing Season 27, Episode 5 on Thursday, September 25.
That rescheduled air date comes with a broader release pattern: Episode 6 is set for October 15, followed by Episode 7 on October 29, Episode 8 on November 12, Episode 9 on November 26, and Episode 10 on December 10.
For viewers who want to watch live, South Park remains on Comedy Central. The series also can be streamed live or on demand via fuboTV, Philo, Sling TV, YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, and DIRECTV. Several of those services offer free trials for eligible subscribers. Paramount+ carries the entire catalog, including Seasons 1 through 27.
With the delayed Episode 5, fans will be keeping an eye on next week’s premiere window and the rest of the season’s rollout.
