Sandra Bullock recently debuted a new tattoo featuring flowery cursive text that spells out 'LB' with a superscript '2', sparking fan speculation. The meaning behind the body art has now been revealed as a tribute to her two children: son Louis, 16, and 12-year-old daughter Laila Bullock. The tattoo was visible on the back of her shoulder during the European premiere of "Practical Magic 2" in London.

Bullock, who has largely maintained a private life, has been more open recently about her family and her late partner, Bryan Randall. Randall died in August 2023 at the age of 57 after a three-year battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Bullock and Randall were in a relationship for eight years prior to his death.

Earlier this week, Bullock shared details on the SmartLess podcast about how she informed her children about Randall's illness and their reactions. She stated that Louis and Laila were aware of Randall's condition and were "very astute" throughout his private battle with the neurodegenerative disease.

"They could see. They have eyes. And they are very, very astute kids," Bullock said, explaining that they noticed the physical changes and behavioral shifts in those around them. She noted that her children processed the situation differently. Louis, she recalled, chose to distance himself about two years before Randall's passing, finding the dynamic unhealthy, while Laila remained more present for a longer period.

Bullock also discussed how she managed their household to provide space for her children during Randall's illness. She explained that she used a different side of their house when her children needed distance, and she offered to accompany them on visits if they felt uncomfortable.

Following Randall's death, Bullock focused on healing and spending time with her children. An insider told People in April that Bullock prioritized her family, ensuring they were in a stable place before returning to work, having started filming "Practical Magic 2" last year.
