Sandra Bullock, 62, has included her children, Louis, 16, and Laila, 12, in surprise cameos in the upcoming film "Practical Magic 2." While their appearances are brief and not overtly obvious to viewers, Bullock confirmed their involvement to Access Hollywood.

Bullock, who reprises her role as Sally Owens in the sequel to the 1998 film, stated that her children attended the film's premiere with friends but did not make a red carpet appearance. She expressed immense pride in her children, noting how they have become influences on her. She described Louis as her "steadfast, moral barometer" and Laila as perceptive and forward-thinking, stating they each provide "two halves of a whole."

Bullock adopted Louis in 2010 and Laila in 2015, raising them as a single parent after her split from ex-husband Jesse James and later with her late partner Bryan Randall. She has consistently shielded her children from public attention, a trait she likens to her "Practical Magic" character.

Speaking about her protective nature at a recent premiere in London, Bullock told People magazine, "The fearfulness of what I think to be normal, that is me to the core. And my children will tell you the same." She also acknowledged that she cannot fully shield them from life's difficulties, recognizing that "the pains make you the full, rounded person that you’re supposed to be."

In a late 2021 appearance on "Red Table Talk," Bullock reflected on becoming a mother in her 40s, expressing gratitude for the timing. "I don’t know why that was the only route, but I’m so glad the universe had me wait," she said, indicating that the experience unfolded differently than she had anticipated.

The film, which also stars Nicole Kidman, Stockard Channing, and Dianne Wiest, is scheduled for release on September 11.
