The first season of "The Shards," a Ryan Murphy-directed FX series, is set to conclude with its ninth episode tonight, September 8, 2026. The finale will be available for streaming on Hulu at 9 p.m. ET.
The series, which premiered earlier this year, is based on the 2019 novel of the same name by Bret Easton Ellis. It follows a group of wealthy teenagers in 1981 Los Angeles whose lives are disrupted by the presence of a serial killer.
The main cast of "The Shards" includes Igby Rigney as 17-year-old Bret Easton Ellis, alongside Graham Campbell, Homer Gere, Hayes Warner, Wes Bentley, and Kaia Gerber. Gerber and Gere, whose parents Richard Gere and Cindy Crawford were previously married, have drawn attention for their familial connections.
To watch the season finale, a Hulu subscription is required. The platform offers a basic plan with ads for $11.99 per month and an ad-free option for $18.99 per month.
