Eva Mendes announced on Instagram that she and longtime partner Ryan Gosling have adopted a rescue dog named Charlie. Mendes, 52, shared photos and a video of their newest family member playing with their other dog, Magic, in the grass. She posted a caption that read, "Introducing Charlie, our newest member of our familia. We're in love!" Mendes tagged California Doodle Rescue in her post. The organization commented, "the two dogs 'have the best parents in town.'" Mendes and Gosling, 45, are parents to daughters Esmeralda Amada, 11, and Amada Lee, 10. The couple, who met on the set of their 2012 film "The Place Beyond the Pines," keep their children out of the spotlight. Gosling does not have a public Instagram account.
Mendes's announcement follows recent news that Gosling will portray Ghost Rider in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film of the same name. Gosling confirmed his casting at San Diego Comic-Con in late July. Mendes previously starred opposite Nicolas Cage in the 2007 "Ghost Rider" film.
