Russell Wilson surprised his wife, singer Ciara, during a Grammy Museum fireside chat promoting her new album Cici on Sunday, appearing during audience questions and jokingly asking when the couple would welcome a fifth child.
Ciara had been answering questions about her music when Wilson stepped into view and praised one of her videos, saying, “One of my all time favorite videos of you is ‘Ride.’” He then added, “Speaking of riding, when is cinco coming?” The remark drew laughter and a flushed response from Ciara, who replied, “Babe, that is such a private conversation.”
The exchange was lighthearted but consistent with past comments from the couple. Wilson previously quipped last year that Ciara seemed ready for another child, and in 2019 Ciara told Extra that if it were up to Wilson they would be "talking eight babies." The couple married in 2016 and share three children; Ciara also has an 11-year-old son from a prior relationship.
Ciara was at the Grammy Museum to promote Cici, her eighth studio album, released last month. She is currently pushing the album’s single “Dance with Me,” which features Tyga. The couple recently relocated to New York, where Wilson is playing his first season with the New York Giants after a long NFL career elsewhere.
The appearance was part of a broader promotional schedule for Ciara as she supports the new record with interviews and public appearances. The brief, off-the-cuff family-focused moment at the museum underscored how the couple has woven personal life into public events while promoting their professional endeavors.
Representatives for Ciara and Wilson did not immediately respond to requests for comment. The couple’s move to New York and Wilson’s debut season with the Giants have featured prominently in recent media coverage, alongside Ciara’s continued work as a recording artist and performer.
