Russell Crowe has confirmed that his ex-wife Danielle Spencer will be the opening act at his one-night-only Indoor Garden Party at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on December 20, and said he remains on good terms with his former partner.

Speaking on the Kyle and Jackie O Show, the actor and musician said, “My former paramour, my ex-wife, Danielle Spencer, she's opening the show for us.” When host Kyle Sandilands observed that it was helpful when ex-partners can attend without trouble from current partners, Crowe replied, “Yeah, everybody's cool. The coolest about that is my kids. They're like, ‘Dad, that's really, that's excellent.’”

Crowe, 61, and Spencer were married for 15 years and share two sons, Charles, 21, and Tennyson, 19. Spencer has an established career as a singer-songwriter, with songs including "Wish I'd Been Here" and "A Night Like This." Crowe has been promoting the Enmore Theatre concert as a music-focused event following his recent public appearances related to both acting and performing.

The radio interview also touched indirectly on Crowe’s current relationship with fiancée Britney Theriot. Crowe said the family reaction had been positive; he and Sandilands discussed how blended-family dynamics can play out when former partners remain involved in public life. Theriot, 33, is widely reported to be Crowe’s partner; Crowe did not detail her reaction on air beyond saying relations were amicable.

Separately, Australian media outlets have reported that Crowe’s friendship with wildlife figure Terri Irwin has cooled in recent years. Those reports, citing unnamed sources, said the two — once described by Crowe as very close — had not been in frequent contact and had not seen each other for about five years. The reports added that Irwin had considered Crowe a long-standing friend and that the distance had been difficult for her. The reporting suggested the change in their relationship roughly coincided with Crowe’s public romance with Theriot. Neither Crowe nor Irwin has publicly confirmed the details of their private friendship beyond past statements of mutual respect.

Crowe’s announcement that Spencer will open the Enmore show underscores how the actor continues to move between personal and professional collaborations. The Indoor Garden Party is scheduled for December 20 at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney, where Crowe will perform with a band; Spencer’s participation marks a public reunion of the former couple on a professional stage while they maintain what Crowe described as an amicable family arrangement.
