Tour Details and Setlist
Rush's 'Fifty Something Tour' has featured sets ranging from 24 to 33 songs. Fan favorites expected to be performed include "Tom Sawyer," "The Spirit of Radio," "Closer To The Heart," "Subdivisions," and "Working Man." At a recent concert at Inglewood, California's Kia Forum on June 13, the band's setlist included "Xanadu," "Limelight," "The Camera Eye," "2112," and a Neil Peart tribute collage.
Nilles, who replaced the late Neil Peart, has been praised for her drumming. "Any concerns about Nilles have been put to rest, and she made short work of impressing devout Rush fans," reported The Phoenix New Times. Her performance of "Tom Sawyer" during an early June gig was met with significant applause.
Geddy Lee's Memoir and Anika Nilles
In 2023, Geddy Lee released his memoir, "My Effin’ Life," reflecting on his career and life in music. Nilles, a 43-year-old drummer from Germany, began her musical journey at age six and has since released original compositions and toured with artists like Jeff Beck.
Band's Legacy
Neil Peart's widow, Carrie Nuttall-Peart, and daughter, Olivia, have expressed support for the 'Fifty Something Tour,' honoring Peart's legacy. They described his musicianship as "singular" and his lyricism as "inimitable," noting his profound impact on fans. The tour celebrates the band's enduring music and explores their new artistic direction.
