The Australian children's comedy-drama series Round the Twist has been acquired by ITVX and will be available for streaming beginning September 17.

The series, which first aired in the early 1990s, follows the adventures of the Twist family – father Tony and his three children, Pete, Linda, and Bronson – who move into a haunted lighthouse on the Australian coast. Adapted from the stories of Paul Jennings, Round the Twist became known for its unusual mysteries and slapstick comedy.

Round the Twist ran for four seasons, with the first two seasons airing between 1989 and 1993, and the subsequent seasons broadcast from 2000 to 2001. The show originally premiered on the BBC in the UK before its Australian broadcast.

Three actresses who portrayed Linda Twist at different stages of the series reunited in a photograph last year. Tamsin West, who played Linda in the first two seasons and sang the show's theme tune, attended a musical spin-off event, as did Joelene Crnogorac, who took on the role in the second series. Ebonnie Masini, who appeared as Linda in the third and fourth seasons, also attended.

Jeffrey Walker, who played Bronson Twist starting in 1993, has since become a director. His directorial credits include episodes of "Modern Family," "Young Sheldon," and the films "Riot" and "Lambs of God."
