The romantic K-drama "Our Sticky Love" has reached its conclusion, weaving together themes of small-town romance and crime drama, according to a recap from Time.
The series' finale saw a critical turn when the antagonist, Sang-gil, escaped during transport and traveled to Taffy Village. His intention was to take Tae-ha hostage and exact revenge for perceived betrayal. However, his plans were disrupted upon discovering baby photographs of Tae-ha with his mother.
Further revelations exposed that Tae-ha's grandmother, Go Yeong-hong, had taken in Tae-ha's young mother shortly after Tae-ha's birth. Following the mother's death, Go Yeong-hong raised Tae-ha, despite no biological connection. Sang-gil is revealed to be Tae-ha's biological father. Flashbacks indicated that Tae-ha's mother left Sang-gil after he engaged in match-fixing as a boxer before becoming a thug. Upon learning of his fatherhood, Sang-gil initially distanced himself from Tae-ha's mother and child, offering them money, which Tae-ha's mother refused, unwilling to raise her son with ill-gotten gains.
