The film "Primetime," starring Robert Pattinson as former "To Catch a Predator" host Chris Hansen, is now available for digital purchase and rental. Directed by Lance Oppenheim and adapted from a 2007 Esquire article, the movie was released for digital purchase on November 3, 2026.

Viewers can buy or rent "Primetime" on platforms including Amazon Prime, Fandango At Home, and Apple TV. The digital copy was listed for $24.99 on Prime Video.

While a DVD release has not been announced, "Primetime" is expected to eventually stream on HBO Max. This is due to a 2023 agreement between A24 and Warner Bros. Discovery, which designates HBO Max as the first subscription service to carry A24 films after their theatrical and digital releases. Based on the release patterns of previous A24 films, "Primetime" could begin streaming on HBO Max as early as late December 2026 or late January 2027, though an official date has not yet been confirmed.

Chris Hansen, the real-life personality portrayed in the film, has reportedly expressed displeasure with "Primetime." According to reports, Hansen purchased advertising spots before screenings of the movie to promote his own streaming network.

"Primetime" is Oppenheim's feature film debut, with Singh having adapted the script from Luke Dittrich's Esquire article "Tonight on Dateline This Man Will Die."
