Reba McEntire has shared an update on her wedding plans with fiancé Rex Linn, approximately 20 months after he proposed. "We're just waiting until we have an open spot to have the wedding," McEntire, 71, told E! News. "Get it planned. Print those invitations."

Their "Happy's Place" co-star Belissa Escobedo noted that the couple are both very busy with their careers, often taking on new jobs and creating new music. McEntire and Linn, 69, began their relationship during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, though they first met in 1991 on the set of the NBC film "The Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw."

Linn proposed to McEntire on December 24, 2024, during a walk on her Tennessee ranch. This proposal followed an earlier, unsuccessful attempt during a safari trip in South Africa.

"We have a blast together. We work together, and we rehearse together. We carpool together. So, we're always together," McEntire said about their relationship. "We love each other but we like each other. We have fun."

McEntire also shared that they share many common interests, including a love for country and western lifestyles, movies, and television. Their only disagreement appears to be on thriller horror movies, with McEntire preferring lighter fare. The couple has affectionately nicknamed themselves "The Tots" (Tater and Sugar).

McEntire was previously married to rancher Charlie Battles from 1976 to 1987. She later married her manager Narvel Blackstock, with whom she has a son, Shelby Blackstock. That marriage ended in 2015 after 26 years.

In October, McEntire is set to become a grandmother when Shelby Blackstock's wife, Rissa, gives birth to a baby boy, following their second round of IVF.

Last Friday marked one year since the death of McEntire's stepson, Brandon Blackstock, who died at age 48 from melanoma. He was involved in a two-year divorce battle with his ex-wife, Kelly Clarkson.

McEntire is executive producing and starring as Knoxville bar owner Bobbie in the upcoming third season of the sitcom "Happy's Place," alongside Linn, who plays Emmett. The show is set to premiere on October 23 on NBC.

Additionally, Apple recently renewed the golf comedy "Stick," starring Owen Wilson, for a second season, which will feature McEntire in a future recurring role. The Daily Mail reached out to McEntire's representatives for comment but did not immediately receive a response.
