Sutton Stracke, a star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, has shared that her 22-year-old son, Philip, intends to pursue a path toward the priesthood. Stracke, 54, discussed her son's future aspirations during an appearance on Radio Andy.
Philip, who recently graduated from The Citadel, a military college in South Carolina, plans to enter seminary school. Stracke explained that the process involves six years in seminary, followed by becoming a deacon and then joining the priesthood. She shared that her son has a positive outlook on this significant life decision, stating, "If it doesn't work out, I can leave," which she found to be a good perspective given the rigors of seminary education.
Philip is one of Stracke's three children with ex-husband Christian Stracke; they also have a daughter, Porter, 24, and another son, James, 19. Stracke recalled a previous ambition of Philip's to enlist in the army, contrasting with his more comfortable upbringing. She recounted an instance where she encouraged him to take on a challenging job delivering vending machine drinks in extreme heat, after which he decided he wanted to attend college.
Stracke also mentioned her ex-husband's past request for an annulment of their marriage from the Catholic Church, which took place from 2000 to 2016. In a discussion about balancing her personal life and parenting, Stracke noted that her son James started college in August and Philip was a senior in college, keeping her occupied along with her growing business interests, which she prioritized over dating.
