Ashley Darby, a star of Bravo's 'Real Housewives of Potomac,' has opened up about the marital struggles of her castmate Karen Huger and her husband Ray. Darby stated she is "holding out hope" for their reconciliation, emphasizing the deep love she believes exists between them.
Darby shared her thoughts during an interview where she also discussed her own season, including navigating her parenting journey and her relationship with her boyfriend, Josh Gudenburr. She noted that her partner was the only boyfriend or husband present at a recent cast event, contrasting with her expectations.
The conversation also touched upon Darby's earlier actions this season, where she alluded to the online dating profile of another castmate's husband. Darby expressed remorse for her public comments but maintained she believed the individual was aware of the situation. She also discussed revealing to castmate Tia that her co-star Robyn Dixon had edited out a comment about Tia's marital situation from their podcast. Darby explained her reasoning for not informing Gizelle Bryant or Dixon beforehand, stating she felt it was important to be honest directly with Tia.
Reflecting on Karen and Ray Huger's marriage, Darby admitted she was "gutted" by the news of their difficulties. She had anticipated that Karen's return after a period away would positively impact their relationship, perhaps leading them to "start dating each other again." The strain on their marriage since Karen's return has surprised Darby. However, she remains optimistic about their long-term prospects, drawing parallels to the ebb and flow of her own past marriage and highlighting their decades of shared history.
"I lasted in my marriage for only 10 years, and Karen and Ray have been married for 30 years," Darby said. "I have to imagine that marriage ebbs and flows."
New episodes of 'Real Housewives Of Potomac' air Sundays at 8PM ET on Bravo.
