QVC host Sandra Bennett became visibly emotional during a live broadcast while celebrating her 20th anniversary with the network. The heartfelt moment occurred when co-hosts Alberti Popaj and Meghan Murray made a surprise appearance on set to honor her milestone.
"Oh, shoot, you’re gonna make me cry," Bennett responded as Popaj expressed his admiration. "Oh, darn it, you’ve made me cry."
Footage from the broadcast showed Bennett becoming tearful as she spoke about her friendships with her colleagues. "This is the threesome that hangs out at Meghan’s pool. We have had so many dinners together. We have shared so many laughs over the years," she said. Popaj reassured her, "They’re happy tears!" and praised her inner and outer beauty.
Bennett, 56, expressed her love for her friends, even playfully remarking that she loved Popaj “a little less because he made me cry.” She later shared on social media that seeing Popaj walk on set was one of her favorite moments from the broadcast. She also thanked Murray for orchestrating the surprise, noting the deep bond she shares with both co-hosts, having navigated "great times, painful situations, the works!" together off camera.
Murray commented on Bennett's post, expressing pride in her achievements and calling it a privilege to be part of the anniversary show.
This emotional anniversary celebration comes amidst other notable on-air events at QVC. Last month, host Toni Brattin experienced an on-air gaffe, and earlier this year, host Rick Domeier announced his retirement after 32 years with the network, citing it as the right time to transition to retirement.
Bennett, who co-hosts "Friday Night Beauty" with Popaj, joined QVC in 2006. Her 20-year tenure highlights a significant period for the long-running shopping network.
