Filmmaker Jamie Adams experienced a surreal moment when directing Hollywood heavyweights Quentin Tarantino and Kylie Minogue in his hometown of Porthcawl, Wales. The stars were in town earlier this year to work on Adams' new film, "Tangled Up in Blue." The arrival of the two global icons in the seaside community generated considerable excitement.

Adams described the experience as "an out of body experience" to have his heroes filming in a place that holds personal significance for him. The film features scenes shot in his father's former pub, The Ship and Castle, adding a deeply personal touch to the production. "It's all very surreal and beautiful," Adams told BBC News.

This is not the first time Adams has attracted well-known talent to South Wales; he previously worked with Jennifer Grey on his 2019 film "Bittersweet Symphony." "Tangled Up in Blue" tells the story of a veteran talent manager, played by Tarantino, who becomes entangled between an old flame and a lost soul while stranded at a hotel bar. The film's casting came together after Adams completed filming in France the previous year.
